Terms of Service

The terms governing candidate and institutional use of ENLT Council services, examinations, certificates and the verification portal.

1. Acceptance of terms

By registering for an ENLT English Test, verifying a certificate, or accessing the ENLT Council portal, candidates and institutions agree to these Terms of Service and to the Rules & Regulations governing the assessment.

2. Candidate obligations

  • Provide accurate identity information matching a valid government-issued passport or national ID.
  • Complete examinations under the conditions defined by the ENLT Secure Assessment Framework.
  • Refrain from any conduct that compromises examination integrity, including impersonation, external assistance, or misuse of examination materials.

3. Examinations and results

Scores are determined under standardized Council scoring policy and mapped to CEFR levels. Results are subject to administrative review and may be withheld, invalidated or revoked where integrity concerns arise.

4. Certificates

ENLT English Certificates are issued with a unique certificate ID, security hash and QR verification, and remain the property of ENLT Council. Certificates must only be verified through the official ENLT verification portal at enlt.org/verify.

5. Institutional use

Institutions granted verification access agree to use candidate data solely for legitimate admission, employment, immigration or evaluation purposes, and in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

6. Fees and payments

Examination and service fees are payable in accordance with the published fee schedule. Rescheduling, refunds and certificate reissue are governed by the Rules & Regulations.

7. Prohibited conduct

Reproduction, alteration or misrepresentation of ENLT certificates or score reports is strictly prohibited. Screenshots, edited PDFs and unofficial copies are not valid proof of certification.

8. Amendments

ENLT Council may update these Terms of Service. Continued use of Council services constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
