Our mandate

Independent assessment, held to a global standard

VeraLingo Council designs, administers and governs the VEC Test — the VeraLingo English Competency Test — an independent standardized assessment of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. We issue official certificates, operate authorized test centers, and maintain a transparent verification infrastructure relied upon by universities, employers, immigration practitioners and language schools.

The Council is governed by an assessment standards committee, a network of certified examiners, and an integrity office responsible for anti-fraud controls, appeals and continuous validation of the test instrument against the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

VeraLingo Council is fully independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with IELTS, TOEFL, ETS, Cambridge, the British Council, IDP or any other testing organization. References to recognition describe our own institutional acceptance program.
